What you will be doing

Neros is seeking FPV Technicians to support our R&D and Flight Testing. This position focuses on building, maintenance, and assistance in flight testing prototype FPV systems. You’ll work closely with FPV Specialists and engineers to ensure that all equipment is prepared, tests are thoroughly documented, and act as Visual Observer in flight tests.

The ideal candidate has strong FPV drone background, comfortable building a variety of drone sizes, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for UAV technology. This role plays a large part in advancing product reliability, streamlining flight test operations, and maintaining the performance of our drone fleet and equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities

R&D Equipment

• Build, repair, and maintain FPV drones and R&D test articles

• Assist engineers with prototype assembly, wiring, and component integration

• Perform soldering, wiring, and mechanical assembly of FPV drones

• Support the maintenance and improvement of flight testing tools, equipment, and lab organization

• Track and organize R&D drones and parts

Flight Operations & Testing

• Prepare, transport, and help set up drones and equipment for flight tests

• Assist FPV Specialists during flight testing as visual observer and ground support

• Record test notes, observations, and flight data

• Support smooth execution of test campaigns in field environments

You should have the following

• Strong hands-on FPV drone build experience

• Knowledge of betaflight and ESC software

• Skilled in soldering and mechanical assembly

• Acro FPV drone piloting

• Strong understanding of UAV components

• Excellent organizational and documentation skills

• Ability to adapt in fast-paced environments and maintain focus under pressure

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

• Ability to travel when needed

Nice to have

• Experience building larger size FPV drones (10”, 13”, etc..)

• FAA Part 107 certification

• Experience in CAD, drone design, 3d printing

• PID tuning and Blackbox analysis

• Expert FPV and LOS acro pilot

US Salary Range

$80,000 - $90,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are considered part of Neros' total compensation package.
