About the Role

APAC Operations Director

Who we are

Neros is a defense technology company rebuilding America’s drone industrial base. We design and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are tested in combat, iterated at startup speed, and built at massive scale. Our team culture is fast, hands-on, and obsessed with closing the gap between design and deployment.

As drones transform the character of warfare, Neros is delivering the systems the West needs to compete on the modern battlefield and deter the adversaries of democracy. We’re hiring engineers, operators, and builders who want to move fast, take on extreme ownership, and get capability into the hands of warfighters in months, not years.

What you will be doing

• Build and mature APAC supplier panel; qualify/dual-source strategic commodities; negotiate capacity, lead times, and terms.

• Lead SQE: APQP/PPAP, PFMEA/control plans, SPC/MSA, run-at-rate; drive FPY/PPM improvements and escape prevention.

• Stand up operational cadence with suppliers: S&OP/CTB, material readiness, OTD, inventory/liability control, risk reviews.

• Execute ramps (incl. 10× scale): capacity models, buffer strategy, tooling plans, change control/PCN, sub-tier management.

• Run audits (ISO/AS), LPA, and corrective actions (8D/DMAIC) with verified effectiveness; enforce traceability and compliance (RoHS/REACH/ITAR/EAR).

• Stand up dashboards for PPM, FPY, OTD, Cpk/Ppk, SCAR cycle time, and ramp milestones; present weekly to U.S. leadership.

• Build and lead a small APAC team (SQE/GSM/OPS); develop talent and vendor-management discipline.

You should have the following

• Degree in Engineering or a related field.

• 10+ years in supplier development/SQE/operations for aerospace/defense, robotics, or high-reliability electronics; 3+ years leading APAC teams.

• Deep commodity experience (PCBA/EMS plus at least one of: machining, composites, optics, batteries).

• Proven 0→1 and ramp execution (multi-site, multi-tier), with measurable FPY/PPM/OTD improvements.

• Hands-on with APQP/PPAP, PFMEA, control plans, SPC/Cpk, MSA/GR&R, and 8D; AS9100/IPC familiarity.

• Strong commercial and program acumen (capacity/CTP, VMI/consignment, LTA terms, liability).

• Fluent English; Mandarin highly preferred. Able to work U.S. hours as needed.

• Eligibility to work with export-controlled information (ITAR/EAR) and pass supplier facility requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience working in the US.
