Job Summary:

Looking for a lead-from-the-front, professional Production Supervisor ready to charge into battle.

We need a battle-hardened Production Supervisor to command a shift of multicraft operators in our high-volume, highly automated steel parts factory. With 7+ years of heavy industrial experience and 3+ years as a supervisor, you'll lead data-driven production schedules, foster a culture of safety, and ensure our defense-critical operations run with unyielding precision and efficiency. Expect high stakes, tight deadlines, and a hands-on, "in the trenches" approach to keep our factory fortified.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide effective supervision, training and coaching to assigned employees to achieve the required safety and production goals as well as maintain department records and inventories

• Ensure that standard operating procedures and engineering procedures are current, accurate and that all work is done in compliance to ensure maximum quality

• Monitor to ensure that all employees comply with safety regulations and the plant's safety program

• Partner with employees to resolve technical, machine, and staffing issues

• Provide the shift-to-shift communication link to keep all team members working toward the same goals as well as communicate to employees all issues that affect the plant

• Maintain operations tempo, monitor quality and machine performance vs. operations plans, SPC charts, and product specifications.

• Grow and develop team members, training the next generation of leaders, technicians, and inspectors

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in management, engineering, or related disciplines, or equivalent experience

• Equivalent experience would involve a minimum of five years in heavy manufacturing, including any of the following: Forging, Heat Treating, CNC Machining, Coatings, Welding, and Automated Assembly / Testing

• Experience in technical quality control systems, deep understanding of Data Systems, including; SPC / Cpk’s-Ppk’s, Control Limits, Mil-Spec inspection routines and sampling for first articles / startup / qualifications.

• Two years or more of industrial Operations or Maintenance supervisory or similar leadership experience preferred

• Familiarity with CMMS, AutoCAD, equipment drawings preferred as well as Hydraulics/Pneumatics/Electronics troubleshooting

• Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

Work Environment:
