Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Cal-Draulics)

Overview

Cal-Draulics is expanding and investing in next-generation manufacturing and hydraulic test capability. As the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be the technical owner of manufacturing processes from CNC machining and precision assembly to automated hydraulic testing. You will evaluate customer requirements, launch new products into production, and drive improvements in yield, efficiency, and reliability. This is a high-impact role with autonomy: you will shape how engineering operates at Cal-Draulics.

Responsibilities

• Own the full manufacturing engineering lifecycle for hydraulic valves and precision machined components

• Design, automate, and maintain hydraulic test systems and data acquisition processes

• Evaluate customer drawings/specifications and develop efficient work instructions and routings

• Improve cost, throughput, and first-time yield through structured problem solving

• Maintain ERP accuracy for BOMs, routings, standard times, and revision control

• Drive introduction of new products into production

• Advance tooling, fixturing, and process capability to support growth and scale

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience

• 7+ years in aerospace/aviation component manufacturing (hydraulics strongly preferred)

• Strong knowledge of GD&T, precision machining, and assembly processes

• Hands-on experience with hydraulic testing and instrumentation

• Familiarity with AS9100 and aerospace documentation requirements

• Experience with CAD and MRP/ERP systems (EVO a plus)

• Preferred Skills

• PLC and/or LabVIEW experience for test automation and data acquisition

• Hydraulic instrumentation and measurement systems (pressure, flow, leakage, burst)

• Experience qualifying new process equipment and tooling
