Facilities Technician

Overview

You will maintain, repair and operate equipment and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. Your primary priorities will be adhering to safety regulations, quality control requirements and procedures, collaborating with engineering teams and documenting activities. 

Key Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing machinery, perform routine check outs, preventative maintenance, cleaning, and service to ensure optimal equipment and system performance

• Quickly diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and technical issues with production machinery and facility systems to minimize interruptions

• Conduct quality checks on manufacturing processes to ensure that required standards are met

• Adhere to strict safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory safety and workplace guidelines

• Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, production activities, and incident reports

• Oversee and monitor essential manufacturing systems, including supporting equipment and systems (manufacturing machinery, compressed air, DI water, Etc.)

• Assist with the onboarding, setup, calibration, and commissioning of new equipment

• Work closely with engineers, technicians, and operators to optimize processes and address technical challenges

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong mechanical, electrical, and technical aptitude to understand and work with complex machinery and systems

• Self-starter with the ability to quickly identify and solve problems efficiently and precisely with little to no supervision

• Meticulous approach to tasks, ensuring accuracy in maintenance, documentation, and quality control

• Highly effective communication skills

• Capability to learn new technologies and adapt to the fast-paced, evolving manufacturing environment

• Committed to safe working practices with a thorough knowledge of safety regulations and quality requirements

• Strong technical and mechanical skills, attention to detail, adaptability and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
