Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Casting Engineer to help build next generation casting processes. The job will involve standing up new processes and new casting lines, starting with a clean sheet superalloy vacuum investment casting equipment, as well as working with production to ensure the line is running well. A can-do attitude is necessary, exceptional ability will be rewarded, and meaningful equity will be offered.

This position’s internal job code is Senior Casting Engineer. We are currently hiring for Level 3IC.

Responsibilities

• Working with the equipment and production team to stand up new casting equipment, with a view to excellent casting quality

• Casting setup and design - feeding system design, simulation, and iteration

• Diagnosing of production issues. Development, implementation, and testing of corrective actions

• Helping to set technical direction of Rangeview's casting process

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 years minimum of professional experience as a product or process engineer in advanced casting processes

• Degree in mechanical engineering, materials engineering, or similar, or evidence of exceptional ability

• Familiarity with the investment casting process, best practices, tools, common issues

• Familiarity with vacuum casting processes for reactive alloys

• High ownership and ability to work independently on difficult problems

• US Person - due to ITAR requirements

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Experience in single crystal or DS investment casting

• Experience with cored turbine blade production

• Experience in AS9100 Aerospace manufacturing

• Experience with SLA printing

• Worked for a high-growth tech company / start-up

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed

• Must be able to establish procedures for providing 24/7 on-call support for critical business activities and emergency situations

Summary Pay Range

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline. Salaries are based on demonstrated candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

• Level 3IC: $126,000-$154,000
